ABHA — Ayushman Bharat Health Account

One health ID. All your reports. Accessible anywhere in India.

What is ABHA?

ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is India's national digital health identity, issued by the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Every Indian citizen can create a free 14-digit ABHA number that serves as a unique health ID.

With your ABHA ID, all your health records — lab reports, prescriptions, discharge summaries, imaging — can be stored in a secure digital health locker and shared with any ABDM-integrated healthcare provider across India. Your records travel with you, not with the hospital.

How docOPD integrates with ABHA

docOPD is registered as a Health Information Provider (HIP) on the ABDM network. This means every diagnostic report you receive from us can be automatically pushed to your ABHA health locker — with your explicit consent. Your data never leaves without your permission.

Your data, your consent

ABHA data exchange in docOPD follows the ABDM Health Data Management Policy. We request explicit, granular consent before any data is shared. You can revoke consent at any time from within the app. docOPD never stores your Aadhaar number — ABHA creation uses the ABDM gateway directly.
